From the Desk Of: Sarah, Appointed Graphic Designer

In our From the Desk series, we're taking a look at our Graphic Designer's Appointed Essentials and how they help her stay productive:

Morning Routine

The first thing I do in the morning is brain-dump my work tasks, thoughts, and ideas in my grid Notebook. The Wooden Mechanical Pencil is my favorite because you get the feel of a classic #2 without the sharpening.

Next, I'll prioritize my top three for the day and move any tasks to my Compact Task Planner. Styling and curation are important to me (hi 👋🏼 graphic designer here), so I lean towards a more neutral color palette with my Appointed products of beiges and pastels.

"When everything looks lovely together at my desk, it brings me joy."

Top Picks

  1. I always start my day with pen and paper because I love journaling. I use The Notebook at work and The Workbook at home—both grid.
  2. I prefer writing in pencil because it's softer, and I tend to hold my pen hard.
  3. For organizing tasks and keeping me on track throughout the week, I love The Compact Task Planner.
From simple desktop necessities to nostalgic writing tools, Sarah's workday and at-home favorites are a great example of how beautiful tools bring joy.
