The Ongoing Impact Of Appointed Gives Back
Your Purchase Makes A Difference
At Appointed, commitment to our values is what sets us apart. American-made production, a customer-first mentality, and environmentally-conscious material sourcing & production practices are our guiding principles & always front of mind when it comes to what is next for Appointed. We’re also an AAPI, female-founded company that has been shaped and encouraged by our D.C. community. That is why in 2016, we decided to launch the Appointed Gives Back Program with our very first D.C. Workbook supporting Story Of Our Schools. Since then, this program has expanded year after year to include limited-edition notebooks, workbooks, journals, and notepads—each benefiting a unique organization striving to make a difference in our own backyards.
Our ongoing initiative is to work alongside non-profits using our unique skillset, in order to tangibly support a variety of efforts that empower, improve, and transform the world around us. Today, we’re highlighting two of our recent AGB best-sellers—the Journal For Change & 2021 D.C. Workbook—to take a closer look at the outsized impact a simple notebook can have. Read on for more.
Impact: 2021 D.C. Workbook
The D.C. Workbook was our first ever Appointed Gives Back notebook—and we’ve continued its legacy by partnering with a new Washington-area recipient each and every year. Our 2021 beneficiary, Girls On The Run, inspires girls across D.C. and Prince George's County to become joyful, healthy and confident, using a fun and experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Thanks to those who purchased a D.C. Workbook in 2021, our donation to Girls On The Run totaled over $7,000.
"Thanks to Appointed's support, 30 girls, equivalent to two full teams, will be able to participate in the Girls on the Run program this spring. Your contribution enables us to bring the benefits of our proven program to some of the most economically-disadvantaged girls in Washington, DC." —Morgan Cornacchini, Development Manager
