A Look Back & The Year Ahead—A Letter From Our Founder

A Look Back & The Year Ahead

Even through the challenges we all faced, 2021 was a momentous year of growth for Appointed. As we reflect on achievements and highlights of the past year, we want to take a moment to say thank you—to our customers, retailers, and local community that have supported us through it all.

A Few Highlights….

A New Website

The brand new appointed.co was a true labor of love and a team-wide effort. We’re so proud to offer an improved online shopping experience for our customers that better highlights our ever-expanding line of products.

Expanded HQ

This past year’s growth made transparent the need for more space—from production, to inventory, to co-working space. We took the leap (and knocked down a wall) to occupy the space next door to our Ivy City Studio, expanding to nearly 10,000 square feet. All this extra room allowed us to improve our production capabilities and get even more organized—think new machinery, more efficient manufacturing, and more.

Flagship Store

Creating an in-person experience of our brand was a personal dream of mine, and we were thrilled to open the Appointed District Shop last Fall. We are so grateful for the response and warm welcome, and it has been a joy to invite customers into our space.

A New Product Line

In December we launched the first of many desktop tools—our limited edition cold-rolled steel Toolkits are just a preview of what is to come in 2022. We’re so happy with the glowing reviews, and look forward to making your desktops a little more stylish (and a lot more organized!) in 2022.

    What's To Come

If you’ve been along for the ride in 2021, we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for 2022. There is nothing quite like the fresh start and sense of possibility that comes with a new year, as opportunities for new goals, unconventional ideas, and long-anticipated plans finally come to life. There’s a lot already in the works—and we can’t wait to share.

The first product we launched, our Signature Notebook, has remained almost the same nearly 7 years and hundreds of thousands of notebooks later. I am so proud of this product, and how it symbolizes the best of Appointed—that a well-made, beautiful tool can have a profound impact on your productivity and creativity. In the coming months, we’re offering more buying options for this essential product—plus a new signature color later this year.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for your ongoing support of Appointed. We are so grateful to create products that play even a small role in your everyday life. Here’s to inspiring beautiful work in the year to come.

    Kindly,
    Suann Song, Founder + CEO
