Appointed Gives Back: Supporting the Brem Foundation
This month, we're highlighting a new Appointed Gives Back recipient in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month—an annual campaign to raises awareness about the impact of breast cancer.
For the entire month of October, 20% of net sales from the Blossom Pink Notebook will be donated to the Brem Foundation, a Washington-area nonprofit that maximizes women’s chances of finding early, curable breast cancer through education, access, and advocacy.
Brem’s program, Get Screened: On Time, Every Time offers digital and expert-led breast-health education events, helping women understand their risk factors and make better-informed screening decisions.
Access
With Brem Foundation’s access programs, Wheels for Women in partnership with Lyft and the B-Fund, they tackle obstacles by offering transportation and funding diagnostic tests at no cost to patients in need.
Physician Training
Established in 2011, Dr. Rachel Brem and The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates Breast-Imaging Team train Brem Fellows in early detection technologies. As expert educators, Brem Fellows reach out to women in diverse communities to teach them about breast health, early detection, and self-advocacy.
Re-Bra
A unique, unprecedented, and easy way for breast surgery patients - and all women - to donate their pre-surgery bras to women in need.
Add a monogram, gift a Notebook to a friend, or stock up on your your favorite cherry blossom-inspired color—all for a good cause. Visit bremfoundation.org for more info or to get involved.
Through Appointed Gives Back products, we are proud to support causes that our team cares deeply about. Thank you for your support.
