Five Spring Cleaning Steps for a Well-Appointed Desk

Five Spring Cleaning Steps for a Well-Appointed Desk

The arrival of spring signifies new beginnings and fresh starts. Now that winter is on its way out and the sun is beginning to stick around a little longer, you can take more time to revaluate goals.

Our desks get stuffy as the catch-all of a full day’s progress—from leftover snacks, to half cups of coffee, to adhesive note reminders. We want our desks to be an intentional space of purpose to allow for distraction-free deep work and creative flow. Today, we’re giving you five tips to start your spring cleaning journey and give your desk the fresh start it deserves.

1. Make A Plan

Envision your perfect workspace. What is it that you really need to be productive? Now break out your favorite notebook and pen and write it all down. Getting it all out of your mind and on the page helps you pave the road ahead with a clear headspace.

2. Toss the Excess

We’ve all heard a lot about de-influencing recently—overconsumption can flood creative spaces making it hard to focus on what matters. Pare down to just the essentials by eliminating excess paper, pens, highlighters, and adhesives.

3. Clean Up

Continue your tidy session with a wipe-down of your entire space. Our desks are home base for our morning coffees and quick lunch breaks. Giving your desk a deep clean will help you get a fresh start for the next step.

4. Organize

Head back to step one and revisit your plan for your dream workspace. Organizing with Storage Boxes keeps your essentials handy and tucked away neatly.

5. Symbolize a New Start

A tidy workspace allows an open mind for new inspiration and brainstorming. Complete your new and improved space with a new Workbook, Weekly Task Pad, or To Do Pad to give you motivation towards new possibilities.

Here's to a fresh new season full of possibility, productivity, and the creativity that comes with a turn of the page.
